Born in the Isle of Man in the early 90s Steve moved to Newcastle Upon Tyne in 2008 for University before moving to Vancouver, BC, Canada in 2018

As a Software Engineer, Steve began writing code professionally in 2012. Since then he's specialised in web development focusing mainly on the frontend while having reasonable experience with Node.js and AWS.

Currently based in Squamish, Canada working for Tile, as a software engineer team lead/manager, Steve works on a mix of frontend and backend projects mostly with React.js, Node.js and AWS.

In his spare time, Steve likes to tinker with home automation projects and developing progressive web apps using Web Components.

Steve also enjoys Paragliding, Kitesurfing, Mountain biking, Snowboarding, Kayaking, Hiking, Climbing and generally being outside!
